Peter Allely

Peter Allely MB BCh BAO FCEM FACEM
An Emergency physician from Belfast, Northern Ireland who finished his training in the UK in 2007. Having flirted with Australia for a couple of years during his training he took the plunge and migrated to Perth with his young family to take up a consultants post in one of the 2 major tertiary hospitals and thinks it’s the best decision he ever made.
He has a keen interest in medical education (aiming to complete a postgrad certificate in medical education in November 2012.) and is an EMST / ATLS instructor. He is passionate about simulation and cardiology and even admits to liking some of the administration side of things. He is currently the deputy director of Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Emergency Department and is one of the Directors of Clinical Training for the 100 interns attached to the hospital.
Outside of work he runs a lot, (mostly after his wife and 3 girls) and continues to work on his Australian accent.
Country: Australia
