Chris Nickson

Chris Nickson is a Kiwi Emergency Physician and an advanced trainee in intensive care (CICM), currently working in ICU at Royal Darwin Hospital in Australia.
Together with Dr Mike Cadogan he runs the Lifeinthefastlane.com website and is committed to free open access meducation (FOAM) that is available to anyone, anywhere at anytime. An avowed Oslerphile, he is also co-creator of iTeachEM.net, a website dedicated to the art, science and fun of medical education.
He is particularly passionate about the intersection of emergency medicine and intensive care, and is on the editorial board of EM Critical Care. Originally a biochemist that lost his way, he is fascinated by poisons and venoms, and trained as a toxicology registrar at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth.
